Custom Tool Bars

In this section you'll learn how to create your own custom toolbar with just the commands you frequently use.

Start by right-clicking on one of the toolbars up the top.

Select Customize...

This dialog displays a list of current custom toolbars.

Click New to create a new toolbar.

Enter a name for the toolbar, and click OK.

For the purposes of this example, we'll just use Custom 1.

Click OK

You will see that a small toolbar "stub" has appeared in the toolbars section up the top of the program.

On the custom toolbar list, select the toolbar you've just created, and click the Commands tab.

Browse to locate the commands you want to add, and then drag the icon for that command up to the toolbar stub, and let it go.

In this example, we'll add a Chart icon.

And an Open Workspace icon.

Keep adding icons as you see fit.

When you're done, click Close.

How easy was that?

Now you can treat your custom toolbar like any other toolbar - turn it on and off, move it around, etc.
